Rice Export Data



Rice is the major diet of most Asian countries. Indian as a country itself is largely dependent on rice for its daily diet. The agriculture based country is also a leading producer of rice and staples and exports
its surplus supply to other countries. Rice export data for the period 12th June 2014 to 12th July 2014 show that India’s rice exports amounted to USD 610,554,235.The average value of each shipment is computed to be USD 5,451,377. Iran, Saudi Arabia and UAE are the major importers of rice from India. Iran accounts to 24% of the import while Saudi Arabia and UAE account for 16% and 5% of the total Indian rice exports. 42% of rice exports from India are shipped from Mundra and the rest from sea ports like Loni ICD, Kakinada, Kandla, Noida, etc. 

Rice export data contains various details like destination country of the export, name of buyers, product details, HS code number, destination port, unit in kgs/MTs, mode of shipment, etc. The data is highly beneficial for local rice traders who can explore more foreign markets for their local produce. Co-operative societies and framer groups can also solicit for business deals in these countries from the information available. Rice export data is a compilation of statistics of rice export from India. It is prepared by the customs officials of each port based on export trade documents.
