show that India had exported Royal Basmati rice worth USD 8,694,854. United States is the largest buyer from India for the rice variety. Other buyers include Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, etc. During the same period US has imported from India royal basmati rice worth UD 5,413,373.

36% of the total export from India was shipped from Noida-Dadri sea port and the rest in Loni, Mandideep, Mundra, Madras, Patli and Gurgaon ports. The largest consignments were shipped in the first week of June and then the shipment values reduced considerably towards the end of the month. The average shipment value is reckoned to be USD 869,485.
